Dorit is an award winning performer of music, dance, and theatre. Dubbed as the Jimi Hendrix of Middle Eastern dance in New York, and "animal da palcoscenico" in Milan, she launched her dance career at the legendary Ibis Supper Club in New York City. She has had the honor of being extended an invitation to perform at the White House, and has performed at the United Nations, various consulates, concerts, and cultural events around the world. 

Performing as a soloist for many years and as a collaborator with many international artists, she has appeared on stage at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Town Hall, The Pantheon Theatre, American Theatre of Actors, and Teatro Manzoni in Milan. She has been featured in Hollywood Films such as Sex and The City 2, and Television shows such as the Colbert Report, and Spanish language shows on Univision, and Telemundo.  

Dorit has evolved from being a solo acclaimed dancer to being the very first dancer of her generation to sing and play with the live musicians who make up the rich and varied Middle Eastern music scene in New York. She currently performs as both a dancer and musician at cultural events, family events, theatrical productions, and international concerts. She has also recently choreographed a play for New Perspectives Theatre which was performed in Bogota Columbia.

Dorit was the winner of the “Jewel of the Nile” dance competition,” and was sent to compete in the “Bellydancer of the Universe Competition,” where she was awarded Champion of the Fusion category.
